The 2018 Stonewall Columbus Pride Parade is Saturday and several roads are closed to traffic.
Marchers and floats will line up on High Street between 5th Avenue and Goodale Street between 7am and 10:30am. Road closures in the staging area are expected to last until 1pm.
The parade will start at the intersection of Goodale Street and High Street at 10:30am. The parade will go south on High Street then west on Broad Street before stopping at Genoa Park around 12:30pm.
Roads closed earlier this week as organizers set up for the festival. Closures include Washington Boulevard between Broad and Main streets; Town Street, Rich Street Bridge and Rich Street between Bell and Ludlow streets; Main Street between South Civic Center Drive and Ludlow streets; Civic Center Drive and Second Street between Town and Noble streets; and South Civic Center drive from Broad Street to Town Street.
Because of increased security at Pride this year, cars parked in unauthorized areas will be towed. Drivers are advised to pay close attention to the posted parking signs and follow instructions accordingly.
