COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A local Italian restaurant and market is getting ready to hold its annual festival, calling it “the largest cheese event of the year.”
Carfagna’s Market and Ristorante at 1440 Gemini Place is holding its fourth annual cheese festival, “Parmageddon.” The event is set for June 20-22, with the main day of events on June 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cheese fans can check out imported 90-pound wheels and try a taste from across the world, according to Carfagna’s website. The festival will also provide freshly made Cheese Wheel Pasta that patrons can try.

The cheesy event is free and a ticket is not needed to attend. The Carfagna’s website is asking for those to RSVP on the event page for planning purposes.
For more than 80 years, the Carfagna family has served a variety of authentic Italian food in central Ohio. The location is 28,000 square feet featuring its market, butcher shop, wine store and restaurant.
