COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Across central Ohio, cities are gearing up for Independence Day and Fourth of July fireworks, from the Buckeye Lake Area Star Spangled Tradition, known as BLASST, to Downtown Columbus’s Red, White & BOOM! and everything in between.

Red, White & BOOM!
Downtown Columbus on July 3
• The biggest fireworks show in the Midwest returns with music, entertainment, children’s activities, food and more.
Bexley
Capital University’s Main Street lawn on July 4
• All evening celebrations and festivities are on Capital University’s Main Street lawn. Residents and guests are encouraged to walk, bike, or take public transportation to the event.
Buckeye Lake Area Star Spangled Tradition
Fairfield Beach on July 3
• On July 3, join Buckeye Lake Area Star Spangled Tradition, or BLASST, for an evening of fun on the water. The show is scheduled from 9:45 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Delaware
Ohio Wesleyan University on July 4
• Delaware’s fireworks show will launch from the city’s Cherry Street property, with ideal viewing areas along Henry Street and the OWU athletic fields.
Dublin
Dublin Coffman High School on July 4
• Celebrate Independence Day with an evening of live music featuring rock legends Kansas and 38 Special and a spectacular fireworks display. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the fireworks show begins at 9:50 p.m.
Gahanna
Gahanna Municipal Golf Course on July 3
• The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with food trucks and live music. The celebration’s headliner, Session Five, takes the stage at 7:45 p.m. The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m., guest are encouraged to bring their chairs and blankets.
Granville
Wildwood Park on July 2
• The 2025 Fireworks and Party in the Park is at Wildwood Park. At 6 p.m., refreshments and snacks are available for purchase at the shelter and vendors. From 8 to 10 p.m., Party in the Park will feature the big band sounds of The Big Badd. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.
Grove City
Murfin Fields, Haughn Road, on July 4
• The fireworks display, launched from Murfin Fields, begins at 8:45 p.m. Visitors can listen to simulcast music on Qfm96, WLVQ-96.3. Using a radio is recommended as streaming from a device results in a 30-second delay. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome at the event.
Groveport
Wirt Road on July 3
• Groveport’s celebration includes live music and food trucks. Guest performers Mama Drama, Devin Henry and Parrots of the Caribbean will play before the fireworks begin at dusk. Attendees can enjoy complimentary family-friendly activities on Wirt Rd.
Heath
Geller Park on July 2
• The city’s Star Spangled Celebration begins at 5 p.m. with food trucks, community organizations with free giveaways, face painting, balloon art and live music. The fireworks show is at 10 p.m.
Hilliard
Roger Reynolds Municipal Park on July 4
• A free annual event at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park that celebrates Independence Day with nationally known artists, food trucks, games for kids and a fireworks show at dusk.
Lancaster-Fairfield County
Fairfield County Fairgrounds on July 4
• A day-long event with a parade, craft show, music and fireworks.
New Albany
New Albany Middle School on July 4
• Instead of a festival, the city of New Albany has announced its parade will be bigger and better than ever for the community. This will be followed later in the day by a fireworks display beginning at approximately 10 p.m. The best view of the show is from Rose Run Park and the New Albany Plain Local School Campus.
Newark
Martha Grace Reese Amphitheater on July 3
• This is the 25th anniversary Independence Day concert and fireworks at Ohio State University at Newark. Several local vendors will be serving food and beverages. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and blankets for an evening of music and entertainment.
Pickerington
Pickerington High School Central on July 3
• Enjoy the view of fireworks on July 3 at Pickerington High School Central and join the July 4 parade through Olde Pickerington Village.
Plain City
Pastime Park on July 4
• Prepare for a day filled with activities, live music, food, and fireworks. Fireworks will start promptly at 9:45 p.m.
Powell
Village Green Park, Downtown Powell, on June 20 and 21
• This family-friendly, free event offers two days of live music, children’s activities, local shopping, food trucks, and a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA). A fireworks finale will wrap up the festival on Saturday.
Reynoldsburg
Civic Park on July 3
• The event includes entertainment, food vendors and a fun kids’ zone with bounce houses. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the fireworks show. No tents permitted.
Sunbury
Big Walnut Middle School on July 4
• The Independence Day celebration includes food trucks, a kids zone and fireworks at dusk.
Upper Arlington
Northam Park on July 4
• The city’s Independence Day celebrations include a parade and Party in the Park, a perfect place to view the fireworks.
Westerville
Westerville Sports Complex on July 4
• Residents are invited to make an evening of their Independence Day celebration at the Westerville Sports Complex, from 5 p.m. through the fireworks. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs, enjoy the concert and food trucks from 5 to 10 p.m., then stick around for the fireworks.
