COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A new studio in Columbus is bringing a unique experience to relaxing, offering yoga classes with puppies.
Puppies & Yoga Columbus opened its doors at 247 West 5th Avenue and is now offering classes while featuring adorable pups each weekend. The classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays with different times throughout the day.
Each weekend, a different breed of puppies will roam the studio while patrons enjoy 45 minutes of “all-level flow” yoga class, with 30 minutes after to play and cuddle the dogs. According to the studio’s website, the experience is meant to merge the “calming effects of yoga with the presence of cute puppies.”
Each session will feature 7-12 puppies. The studio mentioned the puppies are aged between 8 to 12 weeks and the classes help the pups socialize. The puppy breeds are announced over social media 4 days before sessions start.
Usually, the puppies in the class are already adopted and will use the experience in class to interact with humans before they move in to their forever homes, according to the website.
Puppies & Yoga has studios across the country, including two other Ohio locations in Cleveland and Cincinnati. To sign up for a class, go to the Puppies & Yoga website.
