Special Olympics Columbus Polar Plunge
Lower.com Field, Feb. 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
- Support athletes from Special Olympics Ohio by participating in this community fundraising event. Participants, whether individuals or teams, collect pledges from friends, family, and their communities to take an exhilarating icy plunge.
Valentine’s Day dog treat decorating

- Join the Adoption Center for an afternoon of dog treat decorating and holiday crafts with adorable and adoptable shelter pups.

Delaware Chocolate Walk
Delaware Welcome Center, Feb. 8 from noon to 6 p.m.
- Check out the annual walk where ticket holders collect sweet treats at several downtown Delaware locations. Tickets for the event are sold out.
Dinosaur Adventure
Greater Columbus Convention Center, Feb. 8-9
- Step into the world of prehistoric giants at Dinosaur Adventure, a unique exhibit showcasing life-sized, realistic dinosaurs that move and roar. Kids can dive into fun-filled activities, including Jurassic scooters, themed obstacle courses, dinosaur rides, and more.
Fairfield Area Humane Society’s Raise the Woof event
The Mill Event Center at 431 S. Columbus St. Feb. 8 from 6 to 10 p.m.
- Join the organization for a fun night supporting shelter animals, including a hypnotist, comedian/magician, silent auction, and gourmet buffet. Tickets are on sale now.
Blue Jackets vs. Rangers
Nationwide Arena, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
- The Columbus Blue Jackets face the New York Rangers at 7 p.m.
5th Line 5K
Nationwide Arena, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m.
- More than 4,000 runners and walkers will celebrate Fitness & Hockey and “Finish On Center Ice” when the 10th Annual 5th Line 5K. The event will start at 10 a.m. and all participants receive two tickets to a select Blue Jackets game during the 2024-25 season. Runners still have time to register.

Capital University NOW Festival
Bexley Public Library and Capital University’s campus, Feb. 9
- The 2025 NOW Festival will feature three guest composers in a showcase of performances, art, and lectures by professional artists and Capital students, faculty, and staff. All events will take place on Capital’s Bexley campus except for the festival kickoff.
