COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – From the Columbus Crew hosting a home matchup at Lower.com Field, to the annual Columbus Pet Expo, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.

Columbus Pet Expo

Ohio Expo Center, March 7-9

  • The annual expo returns to Columbus with everything you need as a pet owner. From pet dress-up contests and shows to Weiner dog races and adoptions, the event will feature a variety of activities and more than 100 vendors.

Into the Woods

Palace Theatre, March 7-9

  • The Butterfly Guild of Nationwide Children’s Hospital is back with its yearly production to raise funds for Hospice and Palliative Care Programs. This year’s production is the classic Into the Woods, starring Andrew Levitt (aka Nina West). Tickets are on sale now, with opening night on March 7 at 7 p.m.

Downtown Lancaster Shop Hop

Downtown Lancaster, March 6-8

  • Spend your weekend visiting local shops and restaurants in Lancaster as they offer special spring deals.

Crew vs. Dynamo

Lower.com Field, March 8 at 2:30 p.m.

  • The Columbus Crew face the Houston Dynamo FC in a home matchup at 2:30 p.m.

2025 Columbus Brew Festival

COSI, March 8 from 8 to 11 p.m.

  • Featuring more than 50 breweries, 150 beers and access to COSI, the brew festival is back with samples from participating breweries and more. General admission is $55 from 8 to 11 p.m., but patrons can get early admission for $70 and allows entry starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.

Blooms and Butterflies

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, through July 6

  • Explore the exhibit featuring hundreds of exotic, vibrant butterflies. Visitors can also check out the Metamorphosis Lab to watch new butterflies emerging from their chrysalises each day. The exhibit is open now through July 6 with the best times to view the butterflies from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
