COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Military families in central Ohio will receive a special discount when shopping at Kroger this Memorial Day.

In a news release, Kroger announced that active duty, veterans and dependents will be eligible for a 10% Military Discount while shopping in-store on Monday. Beyond Kroger customers, the deal will be available to Kroger active duty and veteran associates who can stack their 10% Our Brands discount to save 20% on Memorial Day. The food retailer noted the offer is in appreciation of those who have served.

“Kroger’s Columbus Division is proud to salute America’s heroes this Memorial Day,” said Mark Bruce, Corporate Affairs Manager for Kroger’s Columbus Division. “We offer this special discount in gratitude as families gather to remember the contributions of our service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.”

Eligibility: Active duty, veterans and dependents are eligible when using their Loyalty Card and presenting a valid military ID at checkout.

In addition, Kroger is promoting its “ultimate backyard grilling bundle” for all families. The grocery seller has combined a shopping list of barbecue items designed to feed 16 for $3.50 per person.
