Nearly 20 guns seized during Ohio cocaine trafficking arrest

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WCMH) — Law enforcement in Scioto County found multiple firearms as well as an array of narcotics while serving warrants from a separate court case.

Randi Davis, 35, had two warrants out for her arrest after failing to appear for multiple hearings, according to Scioto County Common Pleas Court records. She had two active cases for multiple felony charges, including:

The U.S. Marshals Service took Davis into custody on Tuesday but also tipped off a local collection of law enforcement offices about possible narcotics they found at a Portsmouth home while arresting her. The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office said investigators then got a warrant to search a residence off of Terrace Avenue, where they found multiple drugs worth around $6,700:

Investigators also took 17 firearms, including rifles and handguns. The sheriff’s office did not mention new charges against Davis as a result of her arrest but said a Scioto County Grand Jury could consider indicting her on additional felonies.

Davis was represented in her existing weapons under disability case by Columbus defense attorney Sam Shamansky, the same lawyer representing murder suspect Pammy Maye. After she failed to appear for multiple hearings through the start of 2024, he withdrew April 9 from representing her in the case. As of Wednesday, Davis had no attorney on file for that or the trafficking case in court records.
