COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Several restaurants in central Ohio are opening its doors this year. Whether its new eateries or current businesses expanding, a handful of places will be welcoming customers throughout the year. Below is a list of recent restaurant openings in the Columbus and central Ohio area.

Ampersand Asian Supper Club

32 W. College Ave., Westerville

  • The ramen restaurant recently opened its newest location in Westerville in May. The new eatery marks Ampersand’s second restaurant after its first opened at 940 N. High St. in the Short North. Ampersand offers a wide variety of Asian dishes including ramen, miso, rice bowls and more.

Bada Bean Bada Booze

2157 Quarry Trails Drive, Columbus

  • Local café and bar Bada Bean Bada Booze is now serving customers after opening its newest location in April. The shop will offer a full bar and café serving breakfast, lunch and bar snacks, along with happy hour specials, events and more. The Quarry Trails location is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dawn’s Fish and Chicken

1926 Brice Rd., Reynoldsburg

  • The seafood and chicken wing restaurant opened in May and plans to hold its grand opening in June. Dawn’s first started as a carryout kitchen in 2024 at 2864 N. High St. before opening its Reynoldsburg spot. Dawn’s Fish and Chicken is open on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and stays open one hour later on Fridays and Saturdays. 

Del Taco

8787 Owenfield Drive, Powell

  • Del Taco adds to its list of new restaurants after opening its newest eatery in Powell this spring. The restaurant’s menu items feature burritos, tacos, burgers, and crinkle-cut fries. The Powell location is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 4 a.m.

Gionino’s Pizzeria

 5068 Cemetery Rd. Hilliard

  • Gionino’s Pizzeria opened its newest shop on May 12, adding on to its list of locations across the area. Known for its brand as “Your Hometown Pizza Favorite,” Gionino’s launched in 1990 by brothers Sam and Chuck Owen in Tallmadge, Ohio. The Hilliard location is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Main Ground Coffee

 619 Main St., Groveport 

  • The coffee shop recently opened this spring, taking over Little Italy Ristorante, which relocated in 2023. Main Ground Coffee serves a variety of beverages, including hot, iced and frozen coffees, along with tea and smoothies. Hours are Mondays through Fridays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
