Child, 13, recovering after accidental shooting in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A 13-year-old boy is expected to recover after being accidentally shot in northeast Columbus Friday night.

The shooting occurred in the 2400 block of Marcia Drive. Columbus police received a call about the shooting at 6:13 p.m.


Police say they found the teenager with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and is expected to recover from his injuries. CPD is investigating this as an accidental shooting.
