COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A former Bed, Bath & Beyond will soon be the newest central Ohio location for Barnes & Noble.
The book seller is taking over the 40,000-square-foot storefront at 3708 W. Dublin-Granville Road in Dublin’s Sun Center, according to permits submitted with the city of Columbus. The space was most recently home to a Bed, Bath & Beyond that closed in 2023 after the chain filed for bankruptcy.
Barnes & Noble’s other location across the street at 3685 W. Dublin-Granville Rd. will close in early May to make way for the new storefront’s targeted opening date later in the month, the chain confirmed.
Permits show that the new location will be Barnes & Noble’s first “new concept” store in the Columbus area and will include a refreshed café design with seating for about 45 customers. The book chain also operates stores in Easton Town Center, Lennox Town, Pickerington and Polaris Fashion Place.

Bed, Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy in 2023 before shuttering several central Ohio stores, including the location at 3750 Easton Market near Easton Town Center and at 1717 W. Lane Ave. in Upper Arlington.
The chain’s Pickerington store at 1750 Hill Road North and Polaris location 1170 Polaris Parkway closed in fall 2020. Since then, the Polaris space has been marked for a $500,000 renovation to become an indoor slide park’s first Ohio location.
