COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Anyone in Columbus looking to fly out to Maine will be in luck soon.

John Glenn International Airport announced a nonstop, direct flight to Portland, Maine, will be available beginning on May 2 through Breeze Airways. The airline headquartered in Utah now has nonstop flights to eight different cities out of CMH.

“Breeze Airways has been a fantastic partner at John Glenn Columbus International Airport,” said Columbus Regional Airport Authority President & CEO Joseph R. Nardone. “We are so glad that Breeze has chosen to launch another route from Columbus, and that it is opening up a new destination for our passengers, just in time for summer travel.”

John Glenn airport will have nonstop flights to Portland and two other cities in New England: Boston, and Hartford, Connecticut. Portland is the most populous city in Maine and sits along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

John Glenn and Rickenbacker International airports have a combined 57 direct flights, according to FlyColumbus.com’s interactive route map.
