COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus Police are investigating after a man suffering from a gunshot wound walked into a local hospital Saturday night.
Officers were called to the area of Cleveland Avenue and E. Weber Rd. at around 6:01 p.m. and found a car riddled with bullet holes.
At the same time the shooting victim arrived at a local hospital to be treated for gunshot injuries.
Police say the incident began in the 2700 block of Beulah Road where the victim was meeting with someone. Shots were fired and the victim fled in his vehicle onto E. Weber Rd. while being chased by the suspect vehicle. The victim lost control of his vehicle and crashed.
The 27-year old victim is stable and remains hospitalized, according to police.
