COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Two businesses owned by one couple are coming together to take over the building that previously housed Rag-O-Rama.

Tigertree and Cub Shrub announced Wednesday they are moving into 3301 N. High St. The building previously belonged to Rag-O-Rama, which closed suddenly in January.

“We’re moving both businesses under one roof, that will allow us to grow both brands and offer more community events and experiences,” the post said.

Described on its website as an “eclectic card and gift store,” Tigertree was founded by Josh and Niki Quinn in 2007. Although it originally operated out of the Short North Arts District, its current location is at 3284 N. High St. in Clintonville, across the street from its new location.

After having a child, the couple realized that there was a need for a children’s market in Columbus, leading to the creation of Cub Shrub. Currently located at 1257 Grandview Ave., the location will now move to Clintonville as the two businesses merge.

The couple said in the announcement that operating out of locations in different neighborhoods with two children in school had made it too difficult to be together as a family.

“When this space opened up we realized it might afford us the opportunity to make our roles overlap in a more efficient way,” the post said.

The two businesses currently combine for a total space of 3,000 square feet, according to the post. After taking over the former Rag-O-Rama store, the couple will have more than 6,000 square feet.

The new location will be open in late spring, according to the post.
