Open Studio with Local Teaching Artist Mary Ann Crago
Columbus Museum of Art from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 9
- Individuals of all ages are welcome to step into the studio to explore and experiment with our wide range of materials and supplies. Work alongside local teaching artist Mary Ann Crago for studio engagement
Cloud Buddies Workshop with artist Dana Lynn Harper
Columbus Museum of Art from noon to 4 p.m. on March 17
- This is a make and take event; participants get to choose the Cloud Buddy they want to work on and are welcome to paint their buddies in any way they like. Acrylic paint, brushes and clear sealant will be provided.
Ladies First: A Panel of Women First-Gen College Graduates
Ohio Union, Alonso Family Room from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 20
- Join the Center for Belonging and Social Change for a panel on professional women who are first-generation college graduates. This panel will highlight the challenges, unique perspectives, and strengths of women who navigated and finished college as first-generation students.
Ohio State University James Center for Health Equity: Body Talk
Ohio Union, Maudine Cow Room from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on March 20
- Join this 90-minute conservation for an in-depth exploration of sex education for sexual minority cisgender women. This event is free and will have opportunities to win prizes and the first 15 participants will receive a gift card for participating.
FOCUS (Females of Chemistry Uniting Scientists) Research Symposium
Nosker Burgee Room from 3 to 4:15 p.m. on March 21 and 22
- The symposium will include three Ohio State student talks, a poster session, a career panel, and talks from two invited speakers, Dr. Angela Hight Walker and Dr. Nicole Goodwin.
Falling Through the Cracks: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women
Ohio Union, Alonso Family Room from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 27
- Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women’s movement brings attention to the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women in North America. Join this presentation to learn about the history of missing and murdered Indigenous women, the impact on Indigenous communities, and the advocacy work that has been done and continues to be done by Indigenous activists.
Women’s History Month at the Ohio History Center
Ohio History Center through March 31
- Learn about some of Ohio’s famous females through tours, activities, and film screenings and explore the important role women have had in the shaping of Ohio. Included with general museum admission.
Menstrual Product Drive
Through March 31
- Donations will be collected in the Student Life Center for Belonging and Social Change lobby, the first floor of the Ohio Union. Accepted donations include: unopened pads, liners, tampons, adult diapers and reusable cups, all sizes and brands accepted.
