COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A motorcyclist is dead after being involved in a crash Sunday morning in north Columbus.
A police dispatcher confirmed a call was received just before 11:30 a.m. on a crash involving a motorcycle on West Henderson Road near State Route 315.
According to Columbus police, the motorcycle was driving east on West Henderson Road near Olentangy River Road when for an unknown reason, the driver lost control, jumped the center median, and drove into the westbound lanes of West Henderson Road. The motorcycle then hit a 2022 Subaru Outback that was driving west on the road.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:30 p.m. Police have not released the driver’s identity.
The crash remains under investigation.
