COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A staple Mexican restaurant in the Arena District has closed after a decade of business.

Nada at 220 W. Nationwide Blvd. welcomed guests for the last time on May 29. Signs posted outside the location’s front doors thanked customers “for 10 great years” and confirm the restaurant has “permanently closed.” The Mexican eatery opened in 2014 and marked the first Columbus location for Cincinnati-based chef and restaurateur David Falk.

Falk’s first Nada restaurant in Cincinnati at 600 Walnut St. launched in 2007 and remains open today. It’s unclear why the Columbus eatery decided to shutter, as the location’s Instagram is no longer live and the brand’s other social media pages do not include a closure announcement.

The move to close comes after Nada’s Columbus and Cincinnati locations both recently won the Diner’s Choice Award, a designation voted on by OpenTable users. The restaurant boasted its modern Mexican menu, with a selection of tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, sizzling fajitas and more.

A selection of margaritas, wine and craft cocktails rounded out the menu, along with a few dessert options like churros and tres leches, rounded out the menu. The eatery also included brunch offerings available on Saturday and Sunday.

Nada’s Cincinnati location is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
