COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is hospitalized and another in police custody after a pedestrian was hit by a car in a Walmart shopping center in southwest Columbus Sunday.

According to a Columbus police dispatcher, the incident was reported on the 1300 block of Georgesville Road at approximately 5:57 p.m. in the parking lot near the center’s Domino’s Pizza.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition but later downgraded to critical condition.

One person, who police said left the scene of the crash, was taken into custody and could face charges.
