COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – As August marks “National Dog Month,” Pins Mechanical Co. is celebrating by helping dogs at local shelters find their forever homes.

Through the month, the company has been holding meet-and-greet events with adoptable dogs and is having its last event on Aug. 25 at its Downtown location at 141 N. Fourth St. From 1 to 4 p.m., visitors can enjoy all Pins has to offer, while meeting with dogs from the nonprofit organization, Stop The Suffering Ohio.

The event allows visitors to adopt a dog or just spend time with the furry friends. Patrons can also help support the shelter by buying drinks or playing games at Pins. According to Pins social media post, portions of the proceeds from the event day sales will be donated to the hosting shelter.

Past meet and greets were also held at the company’s Dublin and Easton location, with dogs from other organizations including Columbus Humane and CHA Animal Shelter.

The meet and greet is also part of the company’s month long series celebrating pups called “Dog Days of Summer.” Those who come to Pins locations with their dogs can receive a free “wag bag,” refreshing shaved ice for dogs and more.

The Adoptable Dog Meet and Greets are free to attend and are held annually at all Pins locations. For additional information, click here.
