COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The second of two suspects wanted in connection to a brutal 2021 murder in which a man was found impaled while lying naked on railroad tracks has been arrested nearly 400 miles southeast of Columbus.

According to Forsythe County District Court documents in North Carolina, Aaron Brown, listed as a wanted fugitive in the death of 31-year-old Aaron Collymore, was arrested in the 500 block of Broad Street in Winston Salem.

Brown, 25, was arrested one day after 44-year-old Felisa Rogers was arrested and charged with aggravated murder.

The two suspects are alleged to have killed Collymore, who was found unresponsive while lying naked on railroad tracks near Sullivant Avenue in Franklinton, west of Downtown Columbus. Police discovered a piece of wood driving through his heart, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. See an earlier report in the video player above.

An investigation revealed that Collymore was beaten prior to finding him, loaded into a 2013 Buick Enclave, driven to the area of the railroad tracks at Sullivant Ave., carried up an embankment, and placed on the tracks.

The suspects then reportedly stripped Collymore of his clothes and left the scene at around 9 a.m. on January 14, 2021. He was found just over an hour later.

Detectives collected evidence from the scene, including video surveillance, and DNA, which linked Rogers and Brown as suspects. Rogers was issued a $3 million bond on Tuesday in Franklin County Municipal Court.

Brown also faces aggravated murder charges, though an arraignment hearing remains pending until he is extradited from North Carolina back to Columbus. He is being held without bond and scheduled to next appear in a Forsythe County courtroom on May 29.
