COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A South Korea-based bakery café recently opened its doors in Polaris.

Paris Baguette quietly opened its second central Ohio location at 8839 Lyra Drive –  a previously undeveloped lot just outside of Polaris Fashion Place – last week. The bakery’s official grand opening will take place on Saturday. The fast-casual eatery’s first local spot opened in Easton in July. Before this, it operated only one storefront in the state, which opened in Cincinnati in 2022.

The franchisee-operated brand serves a variety of cakes, breads, donuts, sandwiches, salads, smoothies and coffees. Pastries are also on the menu, with sweet options such as a raspberry almond croissant, and savory options including a broccoli cheddar quiche. The Polaris bakery offers dine-in, delivery and catering.

The owner of the Paris Baguette in Polaris, Ebram Botros, plans to open at least two to three more bakeries in the Columbus area, according to a spokesperson with the company. Another franchisee is also bringing a location to Arlington Gateway, with an opening date yet to be announced.

Paris Baguette started in South Korea in 1986 before coming to the United States in 2005. Paris Baguette now has more than 4,000 locations across the globe, including 140 units open in the U.S. across 30 states.

The Polaris bakery is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, according to its website.
