COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Two teens were injured and a 12-year-old was arrested in a shooting in north Columbus Tuesday evening.
The shooting happened on the 4400 block of Le Marie Court at approximately 7:54 p.m., according to Columbus police.
The victims, both 13-year-old boys, were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, one in critical condition and the other in a stable condition, police said. Both are expected to survive their injuries.
A 12-year-old boy was arrested on assault and obstruction charges.

A resident of the neighborhood said he doesn’t feel particularly safe living there.
“It’s honestly just concerning at this point, knowing I live in this environment,” Le Marie Court resident Dolf Ramos said. “It’s just very scary knowing that I’m dealing with it and I sleep here every night, and I just don’t know what to think at this point.”
This was the first of two shootings involving young people Tuesday in the city. At approximately 10:10 p.m., two juveniles were injured in a shooting on the 400 block of Knob Hill Court East on the west side of Columbus. Both victims were listed in stable condition, and that shooting is under investigation, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
