COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Columbus-based fast food chain White Castle is continuing its tradition of celebrating romance on Valentine’s Day.

In a news release, the eatery said it will host its annual Valentine’s Day Dinner, a tradition that spans decades. Since 1991, diners have enjoyed a sit-down environment with table service and “festive décor.” The event, held on Feb. 14 from 4 to 9 p.m., begins with restaurants transforming into “Love Castles” where customers can experience fine dining without the cost.

“Our Castles go all out to make Valentine’s Day dinner extra special, adding a little extra love to everything we serve,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle. “We’re the perfect place for celebrating love with friends, families and significant others.”

However, fans of the hamburger chain need to make a reservation for the experience. The company noted that “cravers” — people who are particularly fond of White Castle — can search the online reservation site OpenTable for available spots at one of more than 300 participating locations.

White Castle customers can also celebrate the holiday of love without a trip to the restaurant. The company announced that it is expanding its “Love Kit.” The Love Kit is a special package containing sliders, sweet treats, and coupons and is available in the online store, HouseOfCrave.com, for $99, including shipping. Designed to feed five people, the kit arrives frozen to prepare for a family night at home.
