Police are asking for your help cracking a burglary case in Worthington that caused a business to lose more than $200,000 in equipment.
On Saturday, Sept. 8, two suspects in a light-colored sedan, possibly an early 2000s Chevy Impala, parked behind a business on Huntley Road around 10:35pm. One of the suspects entered the fenced parking lot and got into a 2016 Ford F250 work truck and drove away with a Liberty trailer attached. Police say the suspects returned in a black, boxy-style SUV two hours later and parked in the same place. Again, one of the suspects entered the lot and got into a 2017 Ford F350 and drove away. The pickup truck was loaded with generators, pumps and other tools.
Both vehicles were eventually recovered, but they had been stripped of their catalytic converters and all equipment and tools. The F250 was found on St. Jude Avenue near Eakin Road. The trailer it was connected to has not been located. The F350 was found on Thacker Court near North Hague Avenue.
