POWELL, Ohio (WCMH) — A national doughnut shop’s first central Ohio storefront is opening this weekend, as the brand is also readying to launch a second location.

Parlor Doughnuts is having a grand opening from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for the chain’s new shop at 4290 Home Road in Powell. The storefront will mark Parlor’s first in the Columbus-area and the second in Ohio after a Cincinnati location in Anderson Township opened in August of last year.

The Powell shop will begin welcoming guests as Parlor is also preparing to open a Lewis Center storefront at 5915 Evans Farm Drive inside the Evans Farm development. The brand’s site lists the Lewis Center location as “coming soon” and states, “We’re not open yet, but will be located at the address above.”

Founded in Indiana in 2019, Parlor has quickly expanded to nearly 100 shops nationwide. The brand boasts their vast selection of layered doughnuts, hot and iced coffee, matcha, and various breakfast offerings, like an acai bowl, avocado toast, and a sausage biscuit sandwich.

When Parlor opens the Evans Farm location, it will join a slew of businesses that have recently expanded into the Lewis Center development. A combo craft brewery and coffee shop with cocktails from Watershed Distillery and pastries from Der Dutchman opened in Evans Farm last May, while Crave Cookies opened their first Ohio shop in the development in June.

Sexton’s Pizza began welcoming patrons to their Evans Farm shop in August. Prime + Vine, a butcher shop that was home to a collection of wine and beef produced from the owner’s personal ranch, opened in the development in late 2023 but shuttered last month.
