One person is in critical condition after a shooting near a convenience store in east Columbus.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Beechwood Road and East Livingston Avenue around 1:14am Saturday. When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

According to dispatchers with the Columbus Division of Police, the victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.

Police have not released any information about a possible suspect at this time. No further information was immediately available.
