COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Among the new sports featured at the Arnold Sports Festival this year is perhaps an all-time arcade favorite. For the first time, the Arnold will be showcasing foosball.
More than 100 athletes from around the region are expected to participate in the festival’s foosball singles and doubles tournaments this weekend. Several of those competitors are central Ohio natives, including Pickerington’s Dustin Beahas.
“I’m an expert-level player on the Tornado Foosball Tour,” Beahas said. “Locally, we haven’t had a big event here ever since I started playing.”
Beahas, who has been playing since 2004, said he is excited to put his sport on display.
“I’m incredibly excited,” he said. “This is a big deal to have a tournament like this in Columbus. We haven’t had a tournament like this ever since I played.”
