GAHANNA, Ohio (WCMH) – A Powell-based sports bar has opened its second location in the building that formerly housed the restaurant Coaches in Gahanna.
Third Base Pint House opened at 230 Granville St. on Monday, according to its Facebook page. The restaurant’s debut location opened in December 2019 at 9215 Dublin Road.
The eatery in Gahanna serves the same food as its original location, with its menu consisting of burgers made from Waygu beef, sandwiches, salads and tacos. The restaurant also serves appetizers including buffalo chicken rangoons, pierogis, boneless wings and cauliflower wings.
“We make all our own wing sauces and people love our wing sauces,” owner Don Brumage previously told NBC4. “It’s a fresh kitchen, it’s not a frozen kitchen.”
The sports bar will serve beer and cocktails in the near future. It is waiting for its liquor license, Brumage said.
Third Base Pint House took over the location formerly occupied by Coaches, a sports bar that opened in the 1990s and closed in January 2024. After the closure, a real estate group applied to build a Sheetz gas station and convenience store on the property in April. That plan was rejected by the Gahanna Planning Commission in August, before Brumage decided to open his restaurant in the building.
Along with sit-down service, the sports bar offers catering, takeout and delivery through platforms such as DoorDash and GrubHub. Third Base Pint House is open every day of the week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., with hours extending to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
