GAHANNA, Ohio (WCMH) –  An Ohio-based casual restaurant known for its chicken wings has revealed when it will open its new restaurant near Gahanna.

Roosters Wings will hold its opening at 4850 Morse Road on Feb. 20, according to Nicole Cox, vice president of marketing. Roosters first revealed in May it signed a lease for the location, which sits in the Morse-Thompson neighborhood just north of Gahanna’s border.

“We’ve been wanting to be a part of the Gahanna community for a very, very long time, and this was the perfect opportunity, perfect building, perfect location,” Cox previously told NBC4. “We’re just so excited that we finally found a place to be in the community.”

The new eatery will mark Roosters’ 33rd Ohio restaurant and 44th location overall. The restaurant will feature 70 65-inch TVs, a party room, a patio, 312 seats for diners and a room with a separate entrance for those picking up carryout orders.

Roosters is known for its boneless and traditional wings. Its menu also offers options such as fried pickles, nachos, pizza, salad, burgers and subs. Customers can dine in or pick up takeout. The chain also offers catering services.

The new Roosters will be taking over the building that belonged to a now-shuttered O’Charley’s, which closed six locations in Ohio and numerous more across the country last year due to “industry challenges.”

Roosters first opened in Dayton in 1988 by founders Bob and Corrine Frick. The restaurant has since expanded to 44 locations, including restaurants in Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan.
