Police are investigating after a body was found in Italian Village early Sunday morning.

According to Columbus Police, the body of an unidentified male was found around 6:30am in the area of East Lincoln and North Fourth streets. Homicide detectives investigating the case say the man had been shot. 

No further information was immediately available at this time.
