Meet Max: He is a Brittany Spaniel-Beagle mix on a mission to find rescue dogs, like himself, a loving forever home.
NBC4 Today Weekend Anchor Hattie Hawks and her husband adopted Max from a small Central Ohio rescue called Pets Without Parents. Every week, Max and Hattie introduce viewers to other rescue dogs in search of forever homes.
This week, Hattie and Max stopped by a RescuedOHIO foster home to meet Marshall, a 1-year-old boxer mix with lots of energy.
Marshall would be perfect for an active family, and he is move-in ready.
“He loves people, loves to play with other dogs, other kids,” Melissa Lijefelt with RescuedOHIO said. “The first time I asked him, he could sit, he could shake, he could lie down. Clearly, he is loved and he is well trained and he is looking for someone to help him find a forever home.
Marshall is the epitome of a gentle giant.
“He’s a big dog. You would think he would be rough, but even with my kids giving him treats, he has been perfect,”Lijefelt said.
