Monday last day to drop off shoebox of gifts for children in need

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — For the 25th year in a row, Samaritan’s Purse International Relief is taking part in Operation Christmas Child.

Operation Christmas Child is a national collection week where people can buy or use a shoebox to fill with gifts like toys and hygiene items for children between the ages of 2 to 14 years old, all to make the holidays a little more special.

“A lot of children have never received a gift in their life,” said Todd Lotz with Samaritan’s Purse. “They’re seeing love even through the pandemic. They know we’re going through it and they still know we love them all so much.”

Monday is the last day to drop off a shoebox at these locations.
