A six-student robotics team is ready to take on the world at the FIRST World Festival this week.

The students from New Albany Middle School participate in FIRST LEGOLeague, a LEGO robotics competition in which students have to create innovative solutions to real-world problems by designing, building and programing an autonomous robot made entirely of LEGOs.

The team, dubbed The Lego Lords, earned the Champion’s Finalist Award for exceptional performance at the FIRST LEGOLeague Ohio State Championship in February. Now, they’re headed to Detroit to compete against teams from more than 90 countries around the world in a three-day event.

The Lego Lords stopped by the NBC4 studios to talk about their team and what they hope to achieve at FIRST World Festival. You can watch the entire interview above.
