Newark man on bicycle hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after hit-skip

NEWARK, Ohio (WCMH) – The Newark Division of Police are investigating a hit-skip involving a vehicle and a cyclist Tuesday night.

According to police, the collision occurred at around 10:55 p.m. near the intersection of North 21st Street and West Main Street. There, a 60-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle.


Police said the vehicle fled the scene after the crash, which left the victim hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
