COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Columbus Police are investigating after a deadly shooting early Thursday morning.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 1:21am, Thursday, officers were called to a home in the 900 block of Higbee Drive South on the report of a shooting.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Erick T. Bellomy, suffering from a gunshot wound. Bellomy would be pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police that the Bellomy was shot in his home during a robbery by his relative, Anthony Craig Dean, 21.

Police put out a warrant for Dean’s arrest and said he was considered armed and dangerous, according to police. On October 12, police captured Dean around 11:30 pm.

Police say he was arrested at a residence on the 4700 block of Groves Road without incident.

Dean was arraigned on charges of aggravated murder Saturday. The judge ordered he not be given bond. His next court appearance is set for October 20.
