COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A person was killed Tuesday night in a hit and run crash in the South Linden neighborhood of Columbus, according to police.
According to Columbus police, it happened around 6:10pm at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and East Blake Avenue.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the victim was crossing the street when a northbound car clipped him. Immediately, a white car coming south ran the man over, dragging him around 50 feet.
The woman driving the car stopped immediately and ran across the street to get help from a nearby store.
Police are still searching for the first car that hit the man.
No description of the suspect’s vehicle has been released.
