NEW LEXINGTON, Ohio (WCMH) — Two people suffered minor injuries Wednesday after a plane crash in Perry County, Ohio.

The sheriff’s office said that at 4:23 p.m., a small Cirrus S22 aircraft crashed near the Perry County airport runway in New Lexington. The pilot and passenger, both from Delaware, Ohio, sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, which will be led by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Federal Aviation Administration.
