Two men are facing charges after Columbus Police officers pulled over a stolen car in northeast Columbus.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers spotted a vehicle that was reported stolen by the Gahanna Division of Police around 3:49pm Saturday. The officers performed a traffic stop on the 2800 block of Brentnell Boulevard.
Police say the driver of the car, identified as Cezaray Garner, 36, attempted to swallow two baggies containing a white substance as the officers approached the car. The passenger, 22-year-old Shomari Little, was unconscious in the vehicle. Officers administered Narcan to Little six times before he regained consciousness.
Clinton Township Medics responded to the scene and decontaminated Garner and all officers on scene. Little was transported to OSU East Hospital in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable condition.
Garner was taken into custody and charged with receiving stolen property and obstructing official business. Little was later arrested on a domestic violence warrant.
Police say more charges could be forthcoming, pending lab results.
