A shooting at a mobile home park outside of Washington Court House has left a Scioto County man dead.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, deputies were dispatched to the Washington Manor Estates mobile home park on Jamison Road on a report of a shooting around 2:35am Saturday. 

When deputies arrived, they found Raymond E. Baker, 35, of Portsmouth, outside a trailer, suffering from a gunshot wound. Baker was taken to Fayette County Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead by Fayette County Coroner Dr. Dennis Mesker.

Detectives have not identified a suspect in the case at this time. The sheriff’s office is being assisted by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification.
