COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Police say medics took a teenager to an area hospital in critical condition after a shooting in the 2000 block of Azelda Street in north Columbus.

Police dispatchers say the call came in at about 9:40 p.m. on Thursday night, with reports of gunfire.

Medics took a 15-year-old male to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was later upgraded to a stable condition and police say he is expected to survive his injury.
