COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Sunday evening storms brought damage and outages to central Ohio.

AEP Ohio is reporting a number of outages in central Ohio after a strong line of storms moved through Sunday.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the heavy rain washed away a temporary drainage barrier on 270 near US 23, causing flooding issues. The eastbound ramp to US 23 was closed while ODOT worked to fix the problem.

There are also several road closures in south Columbus due to flooding.

The Hardin County Sheriff said trees and power lines are down throughout the county.
