COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Maloney Park is back open in the South Linden section of Columbus after a $1.8 million redesign.
City leaders celebrated the reopening with a ribbon-cutting Monday afternoon. The 25-acre park now has updated features including a new playground, a looped walking trail, fitness stations, soccer fields, and more.
The park’s renovations are part of the One Linden plan, which has already seen $154 million in investments.
City leaders said community input helped influence the plan.
Maloney Park will also have direct access to the Linden Green Line, a seven-mile linear park and trail, once it is completed.
