COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has sworn in a new therapy dog.
Six-year-old Sunny is the office’s newest member and he has a very special story.
Sunny was the personal pet of sheriff’s deputy Ryan Robinson, who received Sunny as a one-month-old puppy from his mother-in-law. She was battling cancer and couldn’t care for the dog.
Robinson’s family took him in and realized that Sunny had a lot to offer.
In addition to being sworn into duty, the Franklin County Auditor also presented Sunny with a lifelong dog license.
