More than 270 artists are showing off their work at the 2018 Columbus Arts Festival this weekend.

Many of them are from central Ohio, but artists from 34 other states have come to Columbus for the annual tradition. The festival will take over the Scioto Mile downtown all weekend, and there’s something for everyone.

On Saturday, the Hands-On Activities Village will open at Scioto Peninsula Park at 10am. The Activities Village features hands-on art activities, the Children’s Gallery (opens at 11:30am), and the Grass Patch Theater (opens at 11am).

If you’re worried about getting out of the sun, you can find some relief at the new Shade Stations in Bicentennial Park while you enjoy live music.

The Wexner Center for the Arts will also be at the Columbus Arts Festival to kick off their summer programming with a celebration of homegrown musical talent starting at 3pm on the Bicentennial Park stage with Future Nuns, Hugs and Kisses, minimalist percussion ensemble Tigue and drummer/musicologist Mark Lomax II with tenor saxophonist Eddie Bayard and DJ Krate Digga.

If you’re looking for the perfect selfie scene, check out The BIG FRAME, a giant frame you can stand in and get the perfect selfie with the Columbus skyline. The frame is located on the west side of the river near the intersection of the Rich Street bridge and Washington Avenue.

The Arts Festival will also impact traffic downtown as well as COTA lines 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11 and AirConnect. Click or tap here for more information about COTA reroutes.
