Three people have been arrested on OVI charges at a sobriety checkpoint in Columbus.
The Franklin County DUI Task Force operated a sobriety checkpoint on Georgesville Road at Atlanta Drive from 9pm Friday until 1:30am Saturday. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a total of 1,073 vehicles were in the checkpoint zone, with 397 of them checked.
Officers arrested three people on OVI charges and issued a total of 15 citations. Two people were arrested in misdemeanor charges and seven vehicles were impounded.
