COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A Whitehall man is facing felonious assault charges after police say he became frustrated with a two-year-old and beat the child.

That child is not expected to survive.

Tyreese Gray, 27, was arraigned in Franklin County Court Wednesday morning.

Police say when Gray became frustrated with his girlfriend’s two-year-old son, he grabbed the child by the head and hurled him into a bathroom door before smacking him. The action led to bleeding on the brain.

The two-year-old is currently on life support.

The boy’s mother was also in court. Jquanna Davis, 20, is facing a felony charge of endangering for allowing Gray access to the boy.
