UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio (WCMH) – An official date is set for the opening of a new facility offering an indoor pool, fitness spaces, gymnasiums and more.
The Bob Crane Community Center at 3200 Tremont Road is holding a grand opening ceremony on April 6. The event starts at 4 p.m. with a ribbon cutting, along with food, music and tours showcasing its newest space.
The multipurpose building spanning over more than 165,000 square feet with five floors will feature an indoor pool, fitness spaces, three gymnasiums, an e-sports room, track, program classrooms, along with an outdoor terrace, art gallery, senior lounge and more.
Starting April 7, the center will open for business with its indoor Spring programs and classes. Residents interested in viewing the center before the grand opening can register to walk through the facility during special times from March 25-29. The facility will also hold pre-opening previews from April 1-3 as well.
The timeline for the project was first introduced in 2018 by the city’s Parks and Recreations Department, eventually leading to its groundbreaking in April 2023.
Hours for the new facility starting April 7 are Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sales for membership passes will open on March 10, according to the city. For additional details on the new facility, follow this link.
