Columbus (WCMH) – You read that headline correct… I have made a point on-air about how dry it has been here in Ohio (0.01″ this month), our friends out west can claim its dry.Its been dry in Los Angeles, but not really that abnormally dry:

Typically Los Angeles does not see much rain during the late Spring, Summer, and early Fall.   In fact since its last measurable rainfall Los Angeles is less than 1″ below normal.

For the year, the reporting station at Downtown LA is almost 5″ below normal, so the 8th heaviest rainfall day of the year was needed.

In the 165 days since the last measurable rainfall (May 5th at 0.05″) in LA, there have been a few days where they have reported a trace of rain, but that is it.Rainfall by month since the last measurable rainfall in LA (May 5th):
