Man admits to robbing downtown bank, says he robbed same location 8 years ago

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)–The Columbus Division of Police said one of its officers caught a suspected bank robber a short distance from the scene of the crime.

According to police, at about 9:05am, Wednesday, a man entered the Huntington Bank at 17 South High Street and demanded money while implying he had a weapon.

The teller complied and the suspect ran from the bank with an undetermined amount of money.

Police say officer Anthony Roberts was working special duty at Broad and High streets and saw the suspect, Kevin Nunn, getting dropped off near the bank. He later saw the 50-year-old suspect leave the bank and a moment after that, Roberts heard the run aired over the radio that there was a bank robbery. Police say Roberts not only made an arrest but recovered the stolen cash.
