KNOX CO., Ohio (WCMH)–Officers from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Mount Vernon Police Department have arrested a man and charged him with importuning.
Paul J. Darling, age 46, of Rives Junction Michigan has most recently been staying the Gahanna area, the sheriff’s office said.
He had been communicating via online and text messages with what he thought was an underage female, allegedly asking the underage girl to engage in sexual activity with him. The female was actually a Knox County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.
Darling was arrested when he arrived for the pre-arranged meeting. The case remains under investigation.
